Social Media Consulting

What is Web 2.0?

You’ve got your website, your online shopping cart, you’ve got your newsletter, you advertise in all the appropriate publications. Visitor traffic is still off. How do you leverage the Internet and ‘Web 2.0′ to get more people into your business? We can teach you how to leverage the budding social networks that have everyone talking and get your brand out to the people that are most interested in you. Twitter, facebook, Linked In, Foursquare, Yelp… what are all these things? Remember back in school when someone passed a note about a party and eventually the whole school knew about it with you only telling one person? That’s kind of how it works and better yet, it’s all free to use, and targeted to people who are already interested in you. We’ll show you all you need to know to get running, and even manage it all for you if necessary.

Why Do I Need Web 2.0?

Frankly, you don’t. You don’t really need to advertise either, but you do, and you pay for it. Why not take advantage of the things that are happening today to get your brand name out there, in conversations.. everyday people talking about you and the things you do because THEY like you, not because some talking head told them it’s what they should like.

Check out some of the advantages of leveraging your brand with Web 2.0. We’re using wine for this one..

* Say you have 500 fans on facebook and have 500 followers on Twitter and you decide for 3 days only, to give a discount on online orders on that cabernet you have to move. If only 1 out of 10 responds, you have 100 sales, without spending a penny on advertising.

* You’ve just released a new vintage that scored 92 on Parker. Send it out to your 1,000 fans and have them send it on as well.. can you say 50,000 eyes on your brand in no time?

* All the ‘Tweets’ and posts on facebook have a link back to your website, equating to more traffic and more opportunities.

How Do I Use Web 2.0?

Just like your business, you didn’t just open the door, announce it to a few friends and hope people show up. You spent time getting the word out. Make no mistake, Web 2.0 will take time, time almost every day to manage your presence in the social media world. Be prepared to spend at least an hour or two a day, more if you’re successful, in getting the word about your brands..out to the masses, and the only cost is your time. We can set up your presence and teach you how to manage it online. “But I don’t have that time..” you say. Thats where we can help. We’ve set up affordable, managed packages to keep you visible in the social networking world.
